Career
Dan Short has had an interest in cars and motor vehicles since his childhood. In 1967 when he was around five years old, he saw a brand new Camaro car and fell in love with the car. When Dan was stationed at Ft. Bragg NC in 1980, he purchased his first car, a Camaro from a person at the age of around 18 years. When Dan was stationed, he saw a 1967 RS SS Camaro running down 210 in Spring Lake NC. Dan chases the car and asks the owner to sell it to him.
After asking repeatedly for selling the car, the owner finally accept his proposal and sold the car to him. Then, he starts learning car restoration from several shops and also he has taken some restoration and car repair classes he learns all about motor car restoration. Then finally, Dan restores his car and makes it more better and efficient.
Dan Short has served 24 years in the US military as he joined the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) at the age of 17 in 1979 and he was a Green Beret (The United States Army Special Forces) and deployed a lot. Dan flies in the 18th Aviation Brigade which is a brigade of the United States Army. He has also built an aircraft for the Task Force 160th in his army career. Spending 24 years, he left the US army.
After that Dan continue his cars and motor vehicles by starting DRS Automotive FantomWorks company in 2006 through which he and his team started providing automotive restoration, modifications, maintenance, and other services.
