Flay started her professional journey at a young age when she joined BeccaPR in Greater New York City as an intern. She did work like greeting clients and taking care of their details and history, holding team meetings, attending calls, and contributing to market research projects. She interned for BeccaPR from June 2013 to August 2013.
Next, she worked at NBC News from June 2015 to August 2015 in Greater New York City. There she used to research contacts for obituaries, reach out to guests for TODAY, analysis of new music artists, manage things for Summer Concert Series, and collect daily booking notes.
Then from January 2016 to April 2016, she worked for Dash Radio. There she did audio and video editing, radio shows broadcasting, voiceover recording, and covering news and events from the blogging industry.
During the 2016 Summer Olympics, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Sophie worked for NBC Sports Group as an intern from July 2016 to August 2916.
