Ricky Franklin is an Eritrean-Indian Singer-Songwriter. His initial exposure came through the viral success of his cover song videos uploaded to YouTube when he was 13 years old.
Franklin initially signed to an Indie Label when he was 16 as a Music Producer and released his debut single “Blend” in 2018 and a slew of music-only singles until 2020 while writing songs and producing for other artists.
With primary intent on a solo singing career, he released his debut EP “Ardent” which was released Internationally.

Career
At a very early age, Franklin attended Asmara School of Music, Eritrea from which he started to develop an ardor for music. He was raised around Harnet Avenue, Asmara and attended community school, and took side classes for music and visual arts. His father and mother used to work as school teachers.
Franklin came back to India and had been doing his middle schooling while self-learning music from the Internet. He started uploading singing covers during his early teenage years which garnished attention fast.
He was eventually signed by a record label and began working on his originals.
He went on to kick-start his career after releasing his debut EP “Ardent” which was well received and was aired on BBC’s Future Artists To Watch.
He then released his single ‘Terminal’ which had been the best performing single of his and was featured on major pop culture magazines such as RollingStone and others. He also went on to work for Levi’s Music Project in 2021.
