James Klaassen was the prime example of someone who started and built businesses from a young age. At 15, James started his first business, Radio Normanton. A few years later, in December 2015, James founded Normanton Telecoms, which resells telecommunications and IT services across the UK. In January 2017, Normanton Telecoms Group began trading, making James the youngest CEO of a public company. A few months later, the company was bought out.
James’ experiences as an entrepreneur have given him valuable insights into what it takes to be successful in business. James started another business in November 2018, called Faster Group, whilst at University with a fellow student.
The company operated similarly to Normanton Telecoms, and James later bought his business partner out and expanded the company. The Faster Group was sold in November 2019 for an undisclosed amount.
